Tune in on KUTX 98.9 Sunday Morning Jazz with Jay Trachtenberg Fans at the link below! I had the pleasure of speaking with Jay about my new album, You Must Believe In Spring, and performing two songs with Red Young at Kut Studio 1A
A native of Switzerland, Silvie Rider-Young moved to the US in 2007 after meeting her husband, Austin native and pianist Red Young. Although the duo has found success performing together, Rider-Young has paved her own way by blending her powerful multi-lingual voice with jazz influences and classical inspirations. Since moving to Austin, the Swiss-American has performed at The Long Center, done pre-shows at One World Theater, and has played private events and jazz venues all over the world. Now, Rider-Young is gearing up for the release of her monumental third album. You Must Believe in Spring.
Listen to the live performance below, and make sure to catch her album release show at Parker Jazz club on October 30th, and her in-store performance at Waterloo Records on November 6th!
Host: Jay Trachtenberg / Audio: Cliff Hargrove / Producer: Deidre Gott
